Afraid Monkeys Keycard Guide
Keycards are the backbone of Afraid Monkeys progression. Without the correct card at the correct scanner, entire facility wings stay locked and badge runs fail. This master guide consolidates every confirmed keycard location and the optimal collection order.
Keycard Unlock Order
Follow this sequence for the fastest full unlock during beta:
- Level 2 Keycard 鈥?Found on Level 1 (left, right, left, left from first recycler). Unlocks Level 2 door.
- Storage Keycard 鈥?Found on Level 2 parking garage floor by pipes. Unlocks storage door on Level 1.
- Level 3 Keycard 鈥?Found inside storage wing, end hall right room floor spawn. Unlocks Level 3 door on Level 2.
Battery placement for advanced door access may appear on Level 1 past the Level 2 keycard room in extended facility builds. Pick up batteries and insert them into machines beside locked doors when present.
Level 2 Keycard Location
Start from the first Scrap Recycler after entering Level 1 from the lobby pipe. Turn left at the junction, then navigate right, left, left into the keycard room. The card spawns on a table or the floor. Full route details are in our Level 1 walkthrough.
Carry the card back to the Level 2 door scanner without sprinting past Chainsaw Hands patrol zones. Equip Radar before attempting this route if you have the credits.
Storage Keycard Location
After unlocking Level 2, climb the rope to the parking garage. Cross side corridors to the far blue-lit area. The storage keycard rests on the floor against two pipes at the opposite end from the main entrance path.

Level 3 Keycard Location
Inside the storage wing, cross the gap on the right and follow the corridor. The Level 3 keycard spawns on the floor in the righthand room at the hall end. Exit storage and return to Level 2 parking garage.
From the big blue-lit area, take the first corridor on the right to find the Level 3 door. Scan the card to enter deeper facility zones.
